TABLE MOUNTAIN GOES GOLD FOR NOBLE CAUSE
South Africaˇ¦s famous Table Mountain went gold on 6 October 2020
in support of childhood cancer. The light display was in place
for one hour, allowing Cape Townˇ¦s iconic mountain to emanate a
golden hue between 20h00 and 21h00.
Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde, explained that Table Mountain
was going gold ˇ§for the fighters and survivors of
#ChildhoodCancerˇ¨,
a cause for which he says he is passionate.
Winde said the colour gold was selected because ˇ§it is the same
shade as the international awareness ribbon for childhood
cancerˇ¨.
The Premier urged Cape Town citizens to upload their best
pictures to social media in support of the
#GoingGold
Campaign.
ˇ§Letˇ¦s unite to support this noble cause,ˇ¨ he said.
