URGENT NOTICE: Repatriation flight information

(10 AND 11 July 2020 via Amsterdam)

KLM is operating two repatriation flights to bring South African nationals and permanent residents back home on flights from Amsterdam. SACs in Taiwan who are interested in utilizing this option may join these two repatriation flights. There will be two flights, on July 10 and July 11, 2020. 

Those who want to be booked on one of the flights need to contact +27 11 790 0401. The line is opened 24 hours a day.

The first flight on July 10 (flight KL 597) will leave Amsterdam and travel to Cape Town. This flight will be closed on July 5, 2020.

The second flight on July 11 (flight KL 591) will leave Amsterdam and travel to Johannesburg. This flight will be closed on July 6,2020. 

In addition to contacting the airline on the number listed above, those who have not yet registered for repatriation with LOSA  will  have to do the following:

 

1.    Submit a copy of your passport and ID

2.    Complete the questionnaire and consent form.

 

The above mentioned must be emailed to Taipei.dha@dirco.gov.za  Subject Line: Repatriation_date of flight_Your name_ID Number_Passport Number

Please take note of the following:

 

¡P         It is your responsibility to book and pay for tickets as well as ensure that that your are allowed to fly via the connecting routes you have selected to get to Amsterdam.

¡P         You may use any airline of your choice for the flight out of Taipei but please make sure with your agent that you will be allowed to transit threw all stops booked by yourself. Make sure that you are given you all the terms and condition for your flights out of Taiwan through all transit areas you are booking, including the handling of luggage.

¡P         LOSA will not book or verify any booking for flights on your behalf, this is your responsibility.

¡P         Transit time in Amsterdam, may not be longer than 24 hours.

¡P         LOSA will inform the South African Embassy of the Kingdom of the  Netherlands and any other South African Embassy in the countries you will be transiting through. This is mandatory and can only be done once you have been registered with LOSA and LOSA has received your itinerary.

¡P         LOSA will issue you a letter approving your travel into South Africa. This information contained in this letter is based on the tickets for all flights in your itinerary. Please do not undertake your journey without this letter.

For ease of reference, as a suggested option only, China Airlines operates one flight out of Taipei to Amsterdam which is an option used by the previous group repatriated from Taiwan via Amsterdam.
