Messenger/Driver: One Full Time Position

Salary Scale: 3

Annual Basic Salary ranges from TWD410593 to TWD773160 with a 5-day work week and a competitive benefit package.

The Liaison Office of South Africa in Taipei is seeking one individual for the position of Messenger/Driver.

 

Working hours are from Monday ˇV Friday, 8:30 ˇV 17:00. Officials may be required to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays as and when required.

Duties:

  1. Transportation of authorised personnel as and when required on official calls and attend other errands as required
  2. Ensure Proper Maintenance of the vehicle(s), keeping the vehicle clean and in serviceable condition, perform preventative maintenance, keep a complete trip registry and the daily vehicle records.
  3. Work overtime when required.
  4. Delivery, collection and registration of packages, incoming and outgoing mail.
  5. Provide professional and responsive administrative support to Mission office personnel. 
  6. Provide chauffeur services to the head of mission as and when required.

Minimum Requirements: 

  1. Education  :   Minimum 10 years of schooling.
  2. Experience:   Minimum two years as a professional chauffeur/driver

                 Driving executive staff and VIPˇ¦s .

  1. Skills         :   Computer Literate in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and

                             Internet usage.   

  1. Language :    Able to read and write English and Mandarin (attach

                 proof).                 

  1. Knowledge :  Valid driverˇ¦s license (Taiwan); advanced handling

                            and defensive driving techniques;  to read road maps and

                            plot routes  to unfamiliar destinations.

Please note:

1.     Preference will be given to South African citizens with a valid residence

        visa.

2.     Applicants from Taiwan must submit a valid Taiwanese ID.

3.     Applicants from any other country must submit proof of permanent

        residence in Taiwan.
